Tagliatelle with Salmon and Chard

Salmon is one of the most nutritious foods on the planet. This type of fish is not only loaded with nutrients, but also may reduce certain risk factors for several diseases.

It’s a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, a type of heart-healthy fat that can decrease inflammation and support brain health. It is also rich in vitamin B12, which is necessary for producing red blood cells and regulating the health of the central nervous system.

But swiss chard is not far from salmon on the nutritional wheel.

Although kale is often deemed the best option of greens, chard is equally impressive for its wide array of nutritional benefits, as its leaves and stalks provide an abundance of vitamins, minerals, and powerful plant compounds. Swiss chard is a good source of iron, copper, potassium, calcium, and vitamin E.

This green Mediterranean vegetable is not only loaded with nutrients, but is also extremely low in calories, so it’s a great option to help you maintain a moderate weight.

So how can it not be good served with some colourful pasta and a creamy sauce? And it’s super easy and quick as well!

Cook tagliatelle in salted water until al-dente and save half a cup of pasta water.

In a pan heat butter and fry salmon chunks and garlic. Add chopped chard, season with salt and pepper and cook for a few more minutes.

Add pasta water and cooking cream, stir in the pasta and cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
